Through home visits, a series of handouts, books, and videos, parents receive information on the following topics: healthy prenatal practices, labor and delivery, infant care, feeding and nutrition, health and safety issues, child development and healthy parenting and self-care skills. Parents can also receive assistance in accessing other community resources. You are eligible if you are a first-time parent, who is pregnant, or whose baby is up to three months old. Parent may continue with the program until their child is five years old. Teens 18 and younger, who are pregnant or parenting, do not have to be first-time parents to enroll.
