Bruce Fleming Book Signing Saturday, June 21
EAST MILLINOCKET -- Author, poet, and Medway native, Bruce A. Fleming, was on hand to sign his books at the Book Stop in East Millinocket.
Bruce is a native of Medway, and a 1991 graduate of Schenck High School, who grew up in the Katahdin region. His writings have appeared in the Lincoln News, the Sanford News, the former Maine Times, and several other poetry anthologies.
With heavy competition from the Shriner’s parade in Millinocket, business was slow as of about 1:00 p.m., but he sold three books during the 15 minutes that I was there, and his books remain available for purchase at the Book Stop, at 117 Maine Street, Suite 3, in East Millinocket.
His latest work, entitled Beach Town Blues, is a 48-page book of poetry. The poems found in this volume include:
Beach Town Blues
I Blame
Have No Home
The Katahdin Blues
Let’s Hope
Main Street
Bangor Blues
Bruce’s Blurbs
You Criticize
Is a Poet a Dirty Thing?
