Magic City Morning Star Debut

Continued

In particular, I would welcome anyone who is interested, willing, and able to make regular contributions to this project. As a non-profit endeavor, I will not be able to pay for stories, but I will attribute your byline and acknowledge your associations.

If you are a student at a Millinocket area school, any news from your school would be welcomed. If you are on the faculty, perhaps you would like to provide another important perspective.

A regular column by a member of the Millinocket Police Department would be of interest to our readers, and serve as a useful public service.

Similarly, if anyone from the Millinocket Volunteer Fire Department would like to contribute, this too would be a valuable public service.  Having been a firefighter, and a paramedic for more than twenty years, I know that this can be a demanding, yet too often under- appreciated task.

We are blessed with a lot of churches in the Millinocket area, few with web sites.  If I can help you get your message out to those who may be looking for it on the Internet, I’d be pleased to do so.

More

A regular column would be nice, but I’d be happy to publish the ocassional piece, an activities schedule, or anything else that might be of interest. For any congregation that is willing to provide the content, I’d be willing to host a one- or two-page site for your church. No charge. For something larger, get in touch with me and I think we can work something out.

I’d very much like to hear from the Boy Scouts.  My father was a scout leader for more than 25 years.  I was a scout, a staffer at a Boy Scout Camp, and a scout leader myself for awhile.  If you don’t already have one, I’d like to host web site for any Millinocket area Boy Scout Troop.  No charge.

At the very least, let me publish your activities and meeting schedule.  If you are a scout, ask your scout leader to give me a call.

For any youth or community organization, if you’d send me your activities or meeting schedules, or any other information you’d like to get out, I’ll publish it here in the Magic City Morning Star.

The Magic City Morning Star is interested in supporting Millinocket area businesses as well. While I cannot provide you with a web site for free, as I am willing to do for any church or youth organization, I will publish any special events or news that promises to be of interest to the community.

I am not set up to take advertising yet, but this may be a possibility in the future. If you are interested in developing a presence on the Internet, this is what my wife and I do for a living.  See Laisha Designs or contact me for further information.
