The Time is Now, and now is never too late. If they want our dams, our water, and our run off then what is the cost of a few good jobs, a quality of life, and a comfortable retirement? Offering ourselves and our natural resources up for oppression and slavery seems like a very small price to pay for predictable profits.
They believe that because the age of the average Katahdin mill worker is 59 1/2 that you're all through with piss and vinegar therefore they can stomp all over you at the precipice of your retirement years. I've lived among you to know that that there's plenty of fight left in you, and the the Katahdin Region as well; not just from the worker's but those who could have been, plus your children and grandchildren who you now have to look at photos and videos of over the internet rather than have them ride their bikes to your house for lunch.
Don't let them stomp all over you without feeling the weight of who you are. Check out some books on Lek Walesa at your local library. Read about Solidarity. Order them from Amazon, or any where else on-line this Christmas. Read about what they did in force, because they are planning your demise as we speak. If you fail to plan, someone else will plan for you, and you might not like their plans more than your own. The time is now. Rise up, decide today to be ready, and not take this lying down.
Even if you just check out books on Walesa at the Library, or order them on Amazon, you'll not only enrich yourself, and your mind, but you'll send a strong message of Solidarity as well. Don't be afraid. Fear is the beginning of tyranny, and Freedom from Fear is what our Great Country is meant to be about.
I'll never want to see the actual rising up of arms against for defending anything but a foreign enemy, but I do think we are now quite under the control of a foreign enemy, and I think it would be a good idea for some people high up in the State of Maine to begin to wonder just what it might be like if those hunters, snowmobilers, trappers, and lovers of the Maine Woods really do get angry enough up there in the Katahdin Region? Perhaps they'll see the best thing is to just let them continue to have jobs, and work hard and not have to spend time or money planning how they might chase us around the woods in a conflict they know they just couldn't win. Warriors from all over the Great United States would show up for a battle even more wonderful than the one in Poland that eventually took down the entire Iron Curtain, and created a moment in history of which we should all richly take note.
