Historical Society Yard Sale Season

Late May kicked off the Millinocket Historical Society's yard sale season. The Memorial Day weekend allowed for two beautiful days of shopping for many local folk and visitors alike. The endless array of generous donations included toys, trinkets of all kinds, boots, books, videos, crafts, cookware and so much more. The Society's yard sale fund raising efforts are an opportunity not only to generate the much needed funds to build the new museum, but also to create awareness of the project itself.

Our efforts to build the Central Street museum are progressing at an impressive rate. The volunteerism and generosity that have moved this project so far is outstanding, but the journey is not over. Our goal to be able to display these artifacts greatly depends on the continued support of those that have brought this project as far as it has.

Yard sales are usually every Friday, weather permitting, and are posted on KAT-TV and WSYY-AM radio.
