Colorado State Capitol - Help Wanted

Most events are not all good or all bad, but a mixture of both.

A flat tire may seem bad, but if that temporary inconvenience delays your travel enough that you do not get stuck crossing a railroad track at a time when you and your car would have been destroyed by collision with a speeding train, considerable good comes from the flat tire.

Colorado's new law promoting homosexuality and criminalizing Christianity is a lot like the flat tire. The good part may come from people finally wising up enough to call down the Hammer of God (Yes, I said GOD. So send the Colorado Mounties to put me in jail.) on extreme left-wing Socialist politicians responsible for this law and all related legislative and regulatory garbage.

The U. S. Constitution says, in Article 6, in simple language, "The (U.S.) Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution ..."

The U. S. Constitution also says, in the First Amendment, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press ..."

The State of Colorado has just passed a law, formerly SB 200, created by members of the legislature and signed by Governor Bill Ritter, that prohibits the free exercise of Christian religion and abridges Christian freedom of speech and of the press.

The unconstitutionality of the law is blatant. At the start of Section 8. 24-34-701 is the statement "Publishing of discriminative matter forbidden."

This attacks the U. S. Constitution in two very important ways.

First, this is an outright attack on Freedom Of The Press. Colorado citizens are now prohibited from publishing anything that opposes the homosexual lifestyle.

Second, this is an outright attack on free exercise of religion. The Christian Bible is now outlawed in Colorado because the Bible contains several passages warning that homosexuality is sinful and deserving of God's punishment. Christians may be fined and jailed if they publicly express condemnation of the homosexual lifestyle or distribute anti-homosexual literature or distribute copies of the Bible.

This attack on First Amendment protection of freedoms of expression and religion is a direct violation of the requirement that an Oath of Office to "...support this Constitution ..." be taken before a person who is elected actually enters public office.

It is not enough to repeal or amend this law. The people responsible for the law must be identified and permanently removed from State Government.

So let's start listing targets where the Hammer of God needs to come down.

Start with Governor Bill Ritter. He signed SB 200 into law.

Continue with all members of the Colorado legislature who voted in favor of this law.

Include all members of the Colorado legislature who co-sponsored this law.

Finally, identify the source - the person who wrote the law and all staff members who helped write the law.

Everyone on this large list is in violation of their Oath of Office to "...support this Constitution..." Everyone on this long list is disqualified from holding public office currently and forever in the future. Everyone on this long list must immediately resign from office, vacate his or her office, and return all pay, benefits, retirement credit and other income effective on the date of first violation of the Oath of Office.

For every day that the individual remains in office after violating the Oath of Office, that individual owes and must return to Colorado taxpayers all rent and other expenses used for operating that office, including staff salaries.

For each day that the individual remains in office after violating the Oath of Office, that individual impersonates a legitimate government official and is a criminal trespasser on government property and is subject to arrest, prosecution, fines, and prison time.

And, finally, that person's name must be removed from all past, current and future legislation, voting records and other official matters effective on the date of first violation, and the status of enacted legislation must be revised to reflect the removed votes of all members who violated their Oath of Office to "...support this Constitution...".

If the People of Colorado take this opportunity to remove offending politicians, there will be many empty chairs in the Capitol building.

Surviving politicians will be most severely put on notice that the umpire will throw them out of the game if they are caught violating the rules. Officials who violate their Oath of Office are permanently barred from re-election. The entire political climate of Colorado will improve to match Colorado's magnificent scenery.

There will hang a large ‘HELP WANTED' sign at the Capitol building entrance.

Politicians who violated the First Amendment to the U. S. Constitution are like the flat tire that prevented collision with a speeding train. Maybe this ugly event will result in popular upheaval that purges unethical and unqualified politicians from Colorado government.

With luck, this political cleansing could quickly spread nation-wide.
