Dissent is Patriotism

We live in a democratic republic that VALUES and UPHOLDS the right of free expression and RESPECTS each person's personal beliefs. We do NOT live in a country that MUST use threats to "force people into line"- that is a tactic of thugs and facists. Have we so soon forgotten the millions who died in Nazi concentrations camps-they too were told to get in line because they did not fit into the dictator's future plans? We, as Americans, are better that that and should NOT tolerate that kind of terrorism!

Dissent is Patriotism

Consent of the governed
is the core element of democracy,
It's twin is dissent.
Dissent is the hallmark of true freedom
and demonstrates the moral strength
of the government.
Dissent demonstrates the strength
of the people-
that despite our differences
we still stand together
at the end of the day,
Only dictatorship
requires the full compliance
of the people.
