Better Business Bureau announces new online feature free to consumers

Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Eastern MA, ME, RI and VT announces the release of the Accredited Business Job Listings, a new online feature that allows job seekers to find employment with ethical trusted businesses that have been reviewed by BBB.

While many of the current online job search websites offer a robust list of local, available jobs, they generally do not provide oversight as to what is posted, leaving abundant room for scam artists to insert fake job listings in order to trick consumers.

"We are pleased to offer a service to the community for people to apply for a job with a trusted BBB Accredited Business," said Paula Fleming, vice president of communications & marketing for the local BBB. "We hope that this will keep job seekers safe from falling victim to a job scam, which has been a serious issue in the marketplace for several years now."

The BBB's new Accredited Business Job Listings give job seekers insight into local jobs that have recently become available, but also gives them the peace of mind in knowing that the jobs they find on the BBB website are not only legitimate, but being offered by businesses who meet all of the BBB's high standards of BBB Accreditation.

"Employees who understand the importance of ethics are an asset to businesses, just as businesses that put trust, honesty and integrity at a premium are desirable to job seekers," added Fleming. "We're pleased to have added another tool to connect our honorable Accredited Businesses with job seekers in the community."

Much like the BBB's Accredited Businesses, the Job Listings posted to the BBB website's job board are diverse in industry, occupation and salary. Whether the searcher is a recent college graduate, a seasoned assistant or a skilled tradesman, the BBB service may have a job listing that will fit your needs.

The BBB's Accredited Business Job Listings are free to job seekers, and offered exclusively through the website. To find and apply for a job from one of the BBB's Accredited Businesses, visit bbb.org/boston/jobs.
