Jan 17, 2006 - 12:40:00 AM

PRESQUE ISLE -- Xerox Corporation, along with Document Solutions & Support of Northern Maine, a Xerox authorized agent, will provide state-of-the art document technology, supplies and support for the 2006 Biathlon Junior World Championships.

Xerox and Document Solutions & Support will also serve as an Official Sponsor of the games, which begin January 27 in Presque Isle, Maine. More than 450 athletes from 30 countries will attend the 2006 Biathlon Junior World Championships, which are being held in the U.S. for the first time. The event combines cross-country skiing with rifle marksmanship and includes four categories: sprint, relay, individual and pursuit.

Document Solutions & Support will be on-site throughout the weeklong event to provide printing supplies and services. Xerox equipment will deliver real-time results to the media. In addition, a variety of Xerox color multifunction systems, including the Xerox WorkCentre® M24, WorkCentre® Pro 3545, DocuColor 250 and WorkCentre C2424, will provide vibrant, full color daily newspapers to visitors – highlighting event results and providing community news. Visitors will also be able to enter a sweepstakes to win a Xerox desktop multifunction product.

“The winning combination of Xerox technology, service and supplies will help ensure the success of the Biathlon Junior World Championships’ U.S. debut,” said Duane Belanger, owner, Document Solutions & Support of Northern Maine. “This is a great opportunity for Aroostook County, and by teaming with Xerox we’re able to show our support of the athletes and the community.”
