PALMYRA, MAINE -- The Trail Riders of Today (TROT) club will hold their annual Beef Stew & Biscuit Sleigh Rally at the Beem Farm in Palmyra on Saturday, February 7th, 2009.

The rally will feature several horse drawn sleighs and their drivers dashing through the snow competing in various categories ranging from the beautiful Currier & Ives class to the demanding obstacle course. Bring the family and enjoy the beauty of a Maine winter day amid the sounds of sleigh bells.

This exciting and interesting community event starts at 10:00am. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

If you own a horse and sleigh and wish to participate, or just love watching as these splendid horses take us back to the sights and sounds of old New England and its historical charm, come join the fun.

The Beem Farm is located on the Pittsfield Road in Palmyra; take the Newport/Skowhegan exit off I95 to Routes 11 & 100 and watch for the signs. For participant entry information please contact Amy Beem at 368-5710.
