AUBURN -- The Central Maine Athletic Department is pleased to announce Kaleb Violette of Readfield and a 2004 Maranacook High School graduate has been selected Player of the Week by the USCAA. Kaleb was recognized for his contributions last week, January 21-18th, when he led CM to a 90-77 win over in state rival SMCC and a 75-56 win over Vermont Tech. Kaleb scored 39 points, ripped down 14 rebounds, 6 assists and had 2 blocked shots over SMCC. With a win over Vermont Tech Kaleb hit for 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assists and had one blocked shot. (Kaleb was named Yankee Conference Player of the year last year and was also a 2005-06 USCAA All-American.) The Mustangs have won 8 in a row and lead the Yankee Conference with a 12-2 record.

According to CM Head Coach Dave Gonyea, "Kaleb is probably the best one on one player in our league and can dominate his opponent on a given day. He is a talented player not only on the court but off the court as well."

Kaleb is enrolled in the Business Management Program at Central Maine Community College with a GPA of 3.4. He is in the third year of his program and will graduate with dual degrees.
