What Happened to KingsCalendar Website?

As I wrote in the article entitled: Technological Upgrades (Murphy's Law) Jun 14, 2008, 

• Recently I was advised that my Web host was shifting domains and that there would be some slight interruption to my site. Well if you call 'Slight' the loss of files, my inability to access administration facilities, and the general public not being able to access the site, then I guess the problems are only slight.

It took us some time to establish precisely what was going on, and the bottom line is that I need to change servers.  I will in time write about what really happened, but for now, all 'dynamic' content on my site is inaccessible.  'Dynamic content' refers to all articles that are published and that can be altered at any time.

The "static content" is still accessible.  These include Chapters One to Four (http://www.kingscalendar.com/kc_free_files_no_frames/CHAPTER_01.html) and those appendices made available at http://www.kingscalendar.com/kc_free_files_no_frames/TOC.html

Because of the timing of this disastrous turn of events, it has been impossible to change servers, for firstly my webmaster went overseas, and then I returned to Australia.  Whilst both of us are currently in Australia, I need to be in China before we change servers, so that I can guarantee that the server we choose is accessible in China. I am not due back in China for another 4 weeks. 

So I do Apologize to all those who frequently read my articles at Kingscalendar.

On a bright note, since the webmaster somehow rigged it so that anyone trying to access articles got redirected to the "BUY DOWNLOAD" page, there has been a jump in sales of the book.  (Current Special Price $22.50)

Today I received an email from someone whose credentials checked out, who wished to ask me some questions prior to purchase.  I was utterly stunned by what he wrote, and I am going to quote him:

• I've just finished reading all your "freely available" files from The King's Calendar word for word. I actually started with Chapter's 2 and 3 because you indicated they were 'difficult'. I also read your biography and was even able to read parts of your article Law, Evidence and Archaeology: Errors in Biblical Chronology.
• I think your King's Calendar is an amazing achievement. I've read the works of Josephus and Tacitus as well as many recent books on the period you cover, and think yours should be required reading for everyone in academia. 
• I'm 48, and an actor by profession in the U.S. and luckily make a great living at it. But it also gives me freedom to pursue my other three passions: quantum physics, psychopharmacology, and ancient history (Israel/divided Kingdom period, and Egypt/Amarna period).
• I plan to purchase the full copy of The King's Calendar, but have 2 questions: .........

Usually emails tend to condemn me to hell or accuse me of setting up a new religion, or of being insane to think that I must know more that Academia, so it was a welcome change to receive this email.

So let me thank all of those who have been writing me of late, and those purchasing 'The Secret of Qumran'. Your support has been appreciated.
