From Magic City Morning Star R.P. BenDedek
This particular article was originally published in 2008 and is republished in 2011 along with the many other articles Captain Sandy wrote. He is doing fine at this time thanks to some experimental drug trials which greatly improved his day to day mental capacity. R.P. BenDedek
It was an interesting article even if only from the perspective that it was full of 'Strine'. "Strine" is the name given to that home grown brand of Australian English that we of the older generation know how to speak. Americans can't understand Strine, but there are translations provided for you folks. Some time ago however, when Magic City Morning Star news changed servers, photographs within many files were lost. Although most were ultimately reinserted, I unfortunately no longer had Captain Sandy Stewart's original photographs, and so that article has been without photographs for a long time.
This article today is simply to announce that some photographs (though not necessarily the originally placed ones) have been inserted into the original article. Additional photographs are presented here for your amusement, and there are also extra photographs in the Kingscalendar Version.
In 2005, Captain Sandy Stewart was diagnosed with 'altzheimers disease' and since then he has been doing his best to see as much of the world as possible. His Wife Elaine encouraged Captain Sandy to write down his experiences so that he can relive them after the actual memories have faded.
