Some time ago my daughter complained to me that it was too hard to upload photographs into hotmail emails, and requested me to sign up for facebook so that I can see photos of her and the kids.  So I did just that.

And then a funny thing happened. Long lost cousins found me, some of whom had changed names by marriage, or were now lost to us living in a different country.  So far I have had two sets of relatives in the various Americas contact me. One lot turned out to be living in Hawaii, and the other lot live in Mexico.

It has been great making contact again, and discovering what has transpired over the years, and seeing photos and learning how their children are all now grown up and producing kids of their own.

And then the other day I received notification from an organisation linked to facebook, that another of my relatives is now living in the United States. His name? Barak Hussein Obama.

You don't believe me? Well take a look!

Now that you know that he is my cousin, could you guys please stop knocking him? If he is related to me then he must be a wonderful man! (Then again..)

Now if I could just get Hu Jintao to accept my 'friends' invitation on Facebook. Maybe I am also related to him? One never knows! But I do have Chinese relatives! (and Japanese, Vietnamese, Indian, Thai, Australian Aboriginal, German, Italian, French, Austrian, Russian, Philippino)
