Scenic Photographs From China

I so often publish photographic stories about my life in China, but today, I just want to provide some shots of really peaceful places.  Places where you can just stop thinking, relax, and take in nature's splendour.  I hope you enjoy them. 

These First Three Photographs were taken in HongHu in Hubei Province.

Taken in Hengji Village, down the dirt track from Wugou which sits on the main road into Hong Hu.  Taken at first light, it shows the brilliant colour of the morning. It was taken from the same place as shown in the next photograph.

A view of the back side of the village, from the Rice Fields.

Summer in Hong Hu, taken from the lock which opens into the Yangtze River, but looks back down the side river.  This is not an area that tourists would normally visit.

Taken from my bathroom window and looking toward town, this was my first experience with Snow.

Wuhan Capital of Hubei

Taken in Winter at Wuhan University.

Taken at the MoShan Gong Yuan - Moshan Park on East Lake.

Taken at the MeiYuan, which is attached to Moshan Park.  The Meiyuan is a research park which is open in the February Lunar Month.

Three Gorge Dam Boat Trip - Hubei Province

Such Spectacular colour.  Taken in the morning on the 3 day boat ride to the upper reaches of the Dam

The three day boat trip requires 4 changes of boats.  Each section of the River requires a smaller boat, and the water is of a different quality.

Geological formations which were once up high in the mountains, are now much closer to the ground so to speak.

Sichuan Province

At the Panda Park and research Station in Chengdu.

LeShan Chengdu Sichuan

Taken in the mountain at Leshan. This is the area of the Leshan Giant Buddha. I have yet to write that story.  I visited Aomen / Macao, LeShan and Mt. Emei in Summer 2007. While waiting for those stories to appear at Magic City, you can peruse 7 photographic files at kingscalendar, by clicking onto the links at the end of this article.

Mt. Emei Sichuan

This mountain is 3000 metres tall and your 'photographic' entry ticket gives you two days travel.  There are hotels up the mountain in which to stay overnight if you wish.

These photographs give you an idea of the beauty, and there are more photographs at the link above. 

Mt. Emei Summit

This is just one section of the Summit and gives you an idea of the beauty of the spot.  Despite the tourists, one really feels 'heavenly' just standing here taking everything in.

HangZhou West Lake ZheJiang Province.

I have yet to write the story of my adventures there last May, and unfortunately have not published any photographs anywhere yet.
