Punishing Homosexuals

Today I read an article entitled: Two Saudi men get 7000 lashes for sodomy

It reminded me that more than a year ago I published both here at Magic City and at Kingscalendar, an article entitled:

I received numerous nasty emails as a result of that article, but none of those people managed to get past the first half of it.  They were too interested in their personal agenda to take the time to read in full, that which was before their eyes.  The first half of the article was the 'hook' to get people into reading it.

At kingscalendar, I published one of the reactions to that article, that ultimately resulted in the author admitting that he had not read the article in full, and who came to understand the point of it.  I would like to present that initial response and my reply.

Website Reaction.

Posted on a website under the title: HATE IS EVERYWHERE!

  • The first amendment at its best. I am glad he can say what he wants so I can say what I want.....
  • This guy is a vile, vicious, IGNORANT person who needs someone to show him some love and compassion...only a person who has been hiding in a barn his whole life would write something so hateful. This is the type of First Amendment expressions that lead to people getting hurt by those who find something to validate their own ignorant and hateful attitudes.

My email Reply:

Saw your comments at http://pleaseaskwhy06.blogspot.com/ and of course I am the author of that article.

A teacher always needs a 'hook' and boy did you get hooked. It is a pity that you missed the point. I guess you could not get past your self protection to read not only the last line, but the message. Anti American Propaganda plays right into the hands of those who would destroy the very people whose anti american propaganda supports them.

All the apologetists for Islamic Regimes and all those who stupidly believe that if they treat these people nicely that they will be OK, are passively supporting the horrors that the links report on. Being outraged at every nuance in your own country (the land of liberty and democracy) to which you take offence, fails to put into perspective the broader reality of life in the world. Constantly 'dissing' the USA on the world stage, when that country provides you with your personal liberties, is a great disservice to those who are truly oppressed.

I know as little about you as you know about me, but I note that activists tend to be on the left, and the left constantly seeks to bring America down. If the outrage you felt at my comments translates into an awareness of what true liberty you have than I achieved something, but my target is those who whinge and bitch about 'oppressive' America, when they know nothing at all about true oppresssion.

I am not American, and I have lived in a Police state where I was constantly followed and reported on, and hauled up to be interrogated to find out whose car was parked outside my house, and where I had been for 4 hours that no one could account for etc. And that was in a western democratic state. I currently live in Communist China, and I love it.

I am not offended by your comments, rather I was pleased to read them, and of course I had a good laugh. Your liberties seem boundless compared to those of so many people in the world, but your aggressive (but faulty) reaction, is very typical for people of power in totalitarian states.

I personally see no difference between PC people and fascists.

Best Wishes... RPBD

---------------------------

My personal belief about sexuality is that what you do in the privacy of your own home is nobody's business but your own, but I do take issue with having someone's personal life shoved down my neck, and then being told that I am discriminatory because their personal life holds no interest for me.

Furthermore, I abhor activists, who in their pursuit of political power, are actually tearing down the fabric of society.  I do not refer to 'morals' here, but the actual 'stuff' that makes the country what it is.  To reject one's tradition is fine, but to open up your country to 'outside' influences is tantamount to treason.

Activists tend to be Political Correctness advocates, which on it's own is fine, but then they turn into thought police, who brook no thought, word or deed that does not align with their own philosophies.  This is totalitarianism.  As it relates to Multiculturalism however, the constant protection of Islam, at the expense of traditional Judeo-Christian values, will one day lead to Western nations becoming Islamic.  Personally I find nothing inherently wrong with that either, as long as it is a natural conversion.

Out with the old and in with the new.
But the irony is, that the Political Correctness mob are the ones who are fostering Islam, by virtue of their deliberate destruction of traditional western religion and values.

Should Islam become the dominant force in western society, the first people to face the bullet will be the homosexuals, the feminists, and those who protest at the government.

The first thing lost will be democratic liberty - that very liberty which allows activists to destroy the nation and thus usher in totalitarianism.

Well - That's my opinion.  You can keep yours.
