Photo of the Week - Waterways in China

In the April 15th 2012 Photo of the Week entitled Chinese Countryside Suzhou-jiaxing I wrote: The fields are green - the houses rustic looking. The greens and yellows together with the blue of waterways makes it a pleasure to travel by bus.

Today's photographs show some of the water scenery as you travel between the two cities.`(Photos taken through the glass of the bus)

The constant boat traffic in the waterways and canals

Fish ponds in the foreground and canals behind

Passing under the freeway

More fish ponds and canals

Traffic everywhere

Some of the lush fields and homes beside such canals.

The yellow in the fields is what remains of the 'rape seed' plants. The beautiful fields had already been harvested by the time I got these photos.
