In a previous Photo of the Day I mentioned that I would be attending a Wedding on May 31st 2011 and would be giving a speech in Chinese. These photos are from that Wedding.

Having discarded the Western White Dress,
the Bride reappeared in the Traditional Red color for a Bride.

Ma-tou-qin player whipped up a storm with his playing. Simply Marvelous.

So Much Food

Yours Truly giving a speech which came in two parts. Part one was written in Chinese and Pinyin for me by a friend and I advised the guests that if they didn't understand what I was saying that it didn't matter cause neither did I.

Part two was my own off the cuff speaking. The first thing I said was that the Groom loves a good joke - so he invited me to the wedding to give a speech in Chinese.

Now this is a custom that I as a parent could get used to.
