What I can see from my bedroom window.

Murphy's Law Strikes Again! On Friday April 29th, both my early morning and late evening classes were cancelled, leaving me only one 'double' lesson between 5.30pm and 7pm.

I had the day 'free' but from these photos you can see what the weather was like. It remained throughout Saturday, which, just by the by, happened to be the first Saturday EVER when all but 2 of my classes were cancelled. The reason for that being that we are heading into a 3 day public holiday; not that we teachers at my school get the 3 days off. We only get Sunday off.

My (aborted) plan for today (Sunday) was to travel with my Chinese friend to Dong He; meet up with Helen the Ukrainian Teacher, and travel around taking photographs of 'Dong He'.

Not only do I want some photos of some of the old places in 'Dong He' but my friend 'Chaolu' who has been 'assisting' tourists to travel around Inner Mongolia for a few years now, is setting up a professional website. (It needs refinement but we are working on that. Still haven't got to do that by June 4th.)

One of the things it needs is photographs, and so our plan was to take photographs of the lake at Dong He; a little village near my boss' home, the river, the big mosque and some Chinese Temples.

Unfortunately the dust is still in the air, and at 8am this morning, Helen, Chaolu and myself agree that today is not the day to try and take photos. We will try again early tomorrow, and perhaps next week I can show you some of the sites at Dong He, in the Photo of the Day Section.

Two almost 'free' days and 'what can I do?' That is Murphy's Law!

The Last time I travelled with Chaolu, I went to his home in Lin He and posted some photos in the 'Photo of the Day' section for July 18th 2010. Take a look!

And Don't forget to check out the link in Helen's name.
