In my article entitled: Christianity versus Communism American Style (Dec 4th), amidst all that I wrote were these two sentences, placing them in brackets at the end of a comment about another matter. Think about Christian anti-abortionists who attack and/or kill abortion doctors. What did they see as their reward? Today I received this email, which included a photo of an aborted baby. I put the photo into this article, but have left it to the editor to decide if it should be included or not.
This email was interesting from several perspectives.
There was a link in the article to a description of 'projection'. Here now is an excerpt from that article: -- www.answers.com/topic/psychological-projection
In common speak, projection is "accusing another person of the thing that is the problem in your own life." Sometimes it is done as deflection, so that people don't look at the speaker and discover the truth. Other times, the speaker, unable to deal with the reality of the problem in his life, and in reaction to it, spends his time "preaching against it!" The classic example given in the psychology course I took, was "the preacher who constantly preaches against pornography" but who in fact either does look at it or has a strong desire to do so. In the article that I wrote, I asked: "What did they (he) see as their (his) reward?" The email did not touch on this question. Instead it inherently states that the murderer was right to murder and that the murderer was justified because 'murder' is a sin. Can you see the logic in that? Let's take it a step further shall we. The anti-Iraq war crowd, accuse President George W. Bush of unjustifiably sending American troops to their deaths, and in the process, of killing thousands of innocent Iraqi people. American President George W. Bush is therefore a murderer and it is not only justifiable (in God's eyes), but morally right to "kill him." And let's not stop there. These aborted (murdered) babies, are being murdered because some judges decided to make it legal. They are therefore responsible. Let's kill them. And other judges refuse to overturn that decision, so they are now responsible, so let's kill them. And the mother's of these murdered children are the ones who start the ball rolling, so let's kill them. But then it was the man involved who is ultimately responsible, so let's kill him (and the feminists cheered and sang waltzing mathilda!) And let's not stop there. Abortion is mandatory in China! Let's kill the Chinese! A murderer deserves to die! The Abortion doctor deserves to die! The Killer of the Abortion doctor deserves to die! The preachers who preach murder, deserve to die! It is true! But there is only one judge - and here comes the crunch - he does not give you the right to murder. Neither in the Old testament nor in the New, are you allowed to take another's life except in defense (or war). Religion is of course, the great murderer! Murder is the pastime of religion! In today's western "decent" religious sphere, "physical" murder has been replaced with "emotional" and "verbal" murder. Character assassination is quite common as self righteous people go about demonstrating their "righteousness." I was reading an article yesterday entitled: The Pursuit of Attention Power and Ego in Everyday Life Second Edition, by Charles Derber (OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS 2000) part of which is online at about the modern preoccupation with self.
In the case of the abortion doctor murderer, his "righteousness" comes from "defending God" and the defenseless unborn children. And yet, in the New Testament, it says that "none are righteous - not even one"; and that "all' men are sinners deserving of death." And the fems cried: Amen! Hallelujah! As I have mentioned before, my understanding of the "primary text reading" [look it up!] of Romans and other books of the New Testament, is that there are no levels of punishment and suffering in the future fires of hell. The gossip, slanderer, liar, murderer, adulterer, homosexual and strife makers, all get the same punishment. So next time the good Reverend who wrote me the letter decides to pass judgment on someone, he should "first take the mote out of his own eye!" Your heart Reverend is filled with "murder," and you approve of those who do such things. Therefore, according to Romans Chapter one, God will give you over to a darkened mind and all sorts of depravities, as you deny the truth of God, turning it into a lie. And next time you accuse someone of being in support of murderers, make sure that you are not just projecting your sins onto others and in the process, exposing your own ungodly heart!
