At both King's Calendar and here at Magic City, I often quote from 'Women in Green' when I write about Israel. After a long period of 'run ins' with the Israeli government, NADIA MATAR, Co-chair of Women For Israel's Tomorrow (Women In Green) has been indicted by the State of Israel, for "Insulting a Public Servant", in a letter she wrote more than a year ago. As exemplified in the article posted from Women in Green at King's Calendar entitled: Ehud Olmert and the New Nazi State of Israel, Israel is hardly a democratic Nation, and now in addition to all the accusations of the 'guilt ridden' Westerners who accuse Israel of being a 'Terrorist' Nation, the nation has turned it's terrorism on its' own people. If this were not bad enough or demonstration enough that Israel is no longer a democratic State, the indictment of Nadia Matar surely indicates either the totalitarian leanings of the Israeli Government, or else its' desperation to silence a voice that might otherwise be well and truly heard. There are many articles on the internet about the various countries that have or want to have, or are trying to or intend to introduce 'hate speech laws', and despite the rhetoric which accompanies all the arguments, at the end of the day, 'people in power' will always turn laws to their own advantage, and to the detriment of true democratic rights. If a person desperately trying to prevent her nation from further terrorism, can be charged with 'insulting a Public Servant' whilst exercising her alleged democratic rights to free speech, how much more so is a person likely to end up in court for voicing disapproval of people or issues, if laws exist which can be twisted and turned to portray a democratic right as 'hate speech'. Whether it be in Israel, Australia, Canada or America, the day is soon coming when like those in Islamic Lands, we will have no right to say anything that the Leaders don't want us to say. In the West it started with something as benign and simple and well intentioned as 'Political Correctness', and will soon become something more malevolent like 'hate speech laws', until finally it will be called by what it really is, 'Totalitarianism'. When that day comes Google will have more to worry about than pandering to the wishes of Beijing, provided that is, that the American Government will have any say at all, if the United Nations Gets its' way in controlling the internet. Israel, whose current length of Statehood is far less than that of the USA has already reached that point where true democracy has disappeared, and when that disgusting country ceases to exist, as it should, because it stole the land from the poor Palestinians, maybe the good People of the USA, Canada and Australia, will follow suit, and give the good 'ole USA, Canada and Australia' back to the Indigenous folk; provided that is that they don't learn from the Politically motivated Islamic fundamentalists, and throw us out. Have you ever heard of the word 'Precedent?' Well, unlike Australia, Canada and the USA, at least Canaan was conquered by the Hebrews, who were finally thrown out by the Romans; after which Palestine was sometime later conquered by the Turks, who in turn were conquered by the Brits, who in turn, gave the land back to the Jews and Canaanites,(The Philistines ie. Peleset / Sherdanu came from the Aegean), so that they could create their own independent countries. So tell me again why it is that the Palestinians don't actually have an independent country?"
