Egypt / Israel : What's in a name?

In my recent series of articles at Magic City on Emotional Abuse ( Part 1) I discussed the abusive nature of political activism and the use of lies and brainwashing to achieve the various activist goals. Today in an article entitled: Gazans foil attempt to seal Rafah written by an Arab 'Jerusalem Post' staff writer, Khaled Abu Toameh, we get the chance to see, (in reference to Palestinians) how what is considered violent and racist for Israelis, is OK for Egyptians.

  • Egypt's attempts to reseal its border with the Gaza Strip have failed, as tens of thousands of Palestinians continued to pour into Sinai for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday. At least 38 Egyptian border policemen have been hospitalized, some in critical condition, Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said.

Egypt did not want to use force against the Palestinians for fear of being accused by the Arabs of taking part in the blockade on the Gaza Strip

The minister accused the Palestinians of "provocations" at the border and warned that his country would not tolerate attacks on its troops.

Does it not make one wonder why it is that according to political activism, that Israel is the one to blame for all the problems in the middle east? When Israel makes statements like that last one, they are racists. When Israel attacks 'rocket launching sites' in Gaza it is accused of provoking hostilities and of not being committed to the peace process. Of course nothing is said of the fact that there is no peace process while rockets are daily launched from Gaza into Israel. That is not a crime. The crime is in responding.  Sounds almost Christian doesn't it? Fortunately for the Egyptians, they are neither Jews nor Christians, so they can do what they like. Good luck guys! Read the full story.

Meanwhile some food for thought: Terrorism Palestinians Moral Right (by Jonny Paul in London)

  • Lewis Turner from Oxford's New College said that if Israel is supposed to be a safe haven for Jewish people, "it's not working out because it's one of the most dangerous places for them to live."

"I was shocked to hear Honderich actually say that, 'Palestinians have a moral right to terrorism,'" said Olga Belogolova, a Jewish student from Boston University studying at Oxford for the semester.

"Israel is an apartheid state, a state that promotes racism and xenophobia through acts of parliament, a democracy so-called only for people recognized in Israeli laws as 'Jews,' supported by a set of racist laws under which different laws regarding citizenship, housing, land ownership and marriage apply depending on whether someone is classified in law as 'Jewish' or 'non-Jewish,'" the motion read.

(Jewish/Muslim - what's the difference? Try being Jewish in a Muslim Country. Hell, try being Christian in a Christian country.)
