In New York, gay couples married in places other than New York, will be afforded the same recognition as any other legally performed union. Well Done New York! Common Sense prevails. In today's article in the New York Times, Jeremy W. Peters reports that gay couples married in places other than New York, will be afforded the same recognition as any other legally performed union. Well Done New York! New York to BAck Same-Sex Unions From Elsewhere
It is a travesty of justice to discriminate against people legally entitled to their rights in their home towns. Many many Muslims in other countries have more than one wife at a time, and they too should have their marriages recognised. In fact, I remember reading something recently here at Magic City by J. Grant Swank to that effect. With this minor skirmish won, the next thing is to have Gay Marriages legalized in all of the U.S.A. and with that battle won, the next step will be to have all countries in the world recognize the right for a homosexual foreign worker to bring his/her spouse. Soon it will be a wonderful world where everyone will have an accomodating spirit and discrimination will not exist. It won't be long before the secular, the agnostics, the atheists, the deists, the Buddhists, the Christians, the Jews and the Muslims in the U.S.A. will all be holding hands in loving harmony and a spirit of non-discrimination. Well Done New York! But just a word to the wise: Don't take your gay spouse to Palestine!
