Chaos in Palestine : Arab Violence in Gaza.

Today is Monday August 28th 2006, and as usual I turned to my 'first read' online newspapers, China Daily, Magic City Morning Star News, Courier Mail Queensland, and Jerusalem Post.

In the Courier Mail I came across an article entitled: A fork in the road to peace by Joseph Wakim, about Israel and Lebanon. Taking exception to the article, I submitted a comment for publication. What a pity I did not read the Jerusalem Post first, for it had a terrific article there that could well have been quoted to support my comments about Joseph Wakim's article.

Courier Mail Comment

  • As one comment said: This piece doesn't belong in the Courier Mail. The Lebanese people have been in Australia for many decades and I have never encountered nor read about any 'attitude' toward them. During the war, the only thing I read was that either the Government of Lebanon was too weak to stop hezbollah, or passively allowed them control. This has nothing to do with the people of Lebanon.
  • If the writer sees some anti Lebanese sentiment in the 'Rape' incident, then 'duh!' It would be like saying that the rape victim has no right to hate men or Lebanese. Illegal actions of ethnic groups brings discredit to their national identity. That is unavoidable and it is only the PC idiots who think otherwise.
  • As for the people of Qana, they are unfortunate victims, just like those in the Twin Towers in New York. Oh! I forget myself.  The twin towers victims did not know that they were at war, and nor did they have time to flee, and nor did they have military personell around them firing at the enemy.
  • The man who wrote this article is transparent, and obviously sees the sniper shooting on little Israeli children as politically correct and shahid bombing of restaurants as acceptable guerrilla warfare.
  • Let's call a spade a spade. The war continues because the Arabs could care less about the Palestinian people. The leaders fill their swiss and Paris bank accounts with cash; pay for their kids to study in expensive schools in America and other places; and spend a fortune on arms and 'the struggle'.
  • If they weren't such lackeys to a political ideology, they would be building up the economy, and giving their people what they need. Then when they are strong, they can engage in a real war with Israel.
  • But of course, no one wants this scenario, because if the people ever found themselves living in a safe and rich environment, they would not be motivated to fight with Israel.
  • The Arab leaders teach their people to hate, and then justify their violence as being demanded by the people's hatred.
  • It is total BS.

Having finished with the Courier Mail, I opened up the Jerusalem Post and read the article entitled: 'Gaza is caught in anarchy and thuggery' By KHALED ABU TOAMEH

The writer cites Ghazi Hamad, spokesman for the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority government who published an article on some Palestinian news Web sites.

According to Ghazi Hamad,

  • "Gaza is suffering under the yoke of anarchy and the swords of thugs.
  • "I remember the day when Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip and closed the gates behind. Then, Palestinians across the political spectrum took to the streets to celebrate what many of us regarded as the Israeli defeat or retreat. We heard a lot about a promising future in the Gaza Strip and about turning the area into a trade and industrial zone."
  • The Palestinians have failed in developing the Gaza Strip following the Israeli withdrawal and in imposing law and order.
  • Addressing the various armed groups in the Gaza Strip, Hamad concluded: "Please have mercy on Gaza. Have mercy on us from your demagogy, chaos, guns, thugs, infighting. Let Gaza breathe a bit. Let it live."

From the mouth of that Palestinian Official came the support and justification for what I wrote in my comment to the couriermail. Even when you remove Israel from the equation, the Palestinian people still suffer.

Stupid westerners and their bleeding hearts just want to blame Israel for the plight of the Palestinians, but here it is in black and white. The Israelis returned Gaza to the Palestinians, and instead of turning it into paradise, the Palestinian leadership just continued on the path of hatred and destruction.

It is time for the Arabs to start loving Arab peoples. Give your people a chance. Moses demanded of Pharaoh: "Let my people go!". Well, Israel has departed from Gaza and turned it back over to you the leaders of the Palestinian peoples. Life has not become better. Law and Order do not reign supreme. People are suffering because you only care about hatred for Israel, instead of Love for your People.

The real problem is not Israel, it is the bloodlust and powerlust of certain Palestinian and Arab individuals. I've written it before and I write it again: "The violence between Palestine and Israel is not the popular uprising of a down trodden people, but a violence instigated by politically driven war mongers who care not a whit for their people's condition or situation." The Palestinian People have suffered because of the Anti-Semitic Palestinian Leadership.

It's time for the Palestinian leadership to end their struggle with Israel and develop Palestine. During that period, the world will clearly see if the behaviour of Israel is right or wrong; if it is helpful or an obstruction to the life of the Palestinian People.

And as I wrote to the CourierMail, if once Palestine has prospered and grown strong, they still want to destroy Israel, then they can do it! But this prophet prophesies that the people will not want to sacrifice prosperity for warring bigotry.

To the readers of this article in the USA, Australia, and Canada, let me just say this: Your arguments in support of the Palestinians, which rest primarily on the existence of the State of Israel as the 'first cause' of conflict, is hypocritical. Israel exists - rightly or wrongly. If this is unacceptable to you, then stop being a hypocrite, and leave your country now. Encourage the native peoples to rebel. Fund their fight to overthrow the imperialist western invaders. Give them back their land and go away!
