Bullying at School.

I was reading today, the readers comments in an article on School bullying.

I could not help but add my own comments, but given that it exceeded the 'character limit' for comments, I have no idea if it will be published, so I thought I can at least share my thoughts with the Maine readers and others around the world. So here goes!

The Law of unintended consequences dictates that when you try to change or fix something that already works, something unforseen will happen. Our whole society is suffering in so many ways from the law of unintended consequences. It will take guts to fix society up, but it can be done. We start by implementing the following:

  1. Shoot all card carrying civil libertarians
  2. Ban 'human rights' teaching and reading materials from public places
  3. Bring back the cane at school - BUT - cane the parents every time their kid does something wrong that is really bad! When they have had enough of that they will discipline the brats themselves.
  4. Require every student to attend some form of 'religious' education lesson every week - which may require the option of a 'humanism' education lesson. [every religion teaches Love, respect for authority, obedience, truthfullness, self control]
  5. Make all students wear uniforms in every school - with the government paying for those who can't afford it - the financial gain from a harmonious society will offset the cost of uniforms.
  6. Put all convicted criminals in a 'jail like' detention starting from age 12. Juvenile court 'slap on the wrist' doesn't work at all.
  7. Shoot repeat bullying offenders - should only require shooting the first 6 or so!
  8. Ban all TV programs that make fun of parents and other authorities. If you can't tell Irish jokes because they are racist, then you should not be able to make fun of parents and other authorities whose job it is to keep society functioning in a healthy way.
  9. Punish all persons who disobey the laws of the land - EVERYTIME, - zero tolerance.
  10. Learn from Communist countries. They are after all the ultimate demonstration of what happens when bullying is allowed - and show us how to control people.

One does not see soldiers with guns on the streets of China. There is crime of course and even badly behaved students, but one does not see social violence; the public displays of drunkeness or abuse.

One sees respect for senior people, for teachers, for authorities and for society.

China has a harmonious society!
