Australian Prime Minister John Howard finds Religion at Christmas.

Last week, in "Principal Apologises for Saying 'Christmas'," I reported on a newspaper article in Australia in which a School Principal apologised for using the word 'Christmas'. Since then I have written about the Race Riots in Australia.

Well, the latest interesting thing to happen is that the Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, is reported to have made an 'impassioned plea to the nation,' saying 'Australians should stop downplaying the importance of Christianity at Christmas time for fear of offending other faiths or non-religious people'.

"You don't demonstrate tolerance towards minorities by apologising for your own heritage," the Prime Minister told The Sunday Mail last weekend, speaking before the Sydney race riots. "You don't win tolerant brownie points by pretending to be something that you're not".

Yes Prime Minister! Merry Christmas from China.

Firstly I must congratulate the man on this "politically incorrect" statement, even if it did take race riots to finally make him see the fundamental cause of the disharmony.

The next thing I have to say is that he should tread carefully. (Firstly he should replace the word 'tolerance' with 'acceptance'. Shades of Freudian meaning there!). But Seriously, he is now standing up against the thoughts, desires and wishes of a number of quite powerful 'white trash lobby groups'. He must not only be careful of them, but he must carefully consider the ongoing effect of saying this sort of thing, to wit; "let's back up a little to the good old days".

Saying something like this might open a floodgate of 'good old days' re-introductions, that could change the course of the nation. Things like:

  • It's OK not to want to 'adopt' someone else's culture.
  • It's OK to say that you like your own culture and tradition better.
  • It's OK to ditch your own culture in favour of another.
  • It's OK not to blame 'men for everything in life'
  • It's OK not to look at men as though they are all wife bashers.
  • It's OK not to look at men as though they are all paedophiles.
  • It's OK to be heterosexual.
  • It's OK not to like the Gay Mardi Gras.
  • It's OK not to believe in Evolution.
  • It's OK not to believe in Creationism.
  • It's OK to be a Christian/ a Jew/ or whatever
  • It's OK not to be religious.
  • It's OK to have a Victorian Attitude to life.
  • It's OK to raise your children with traditional values and morals.
  • It's OK not to feel guilty for what your ancestors did.
  • It's OK not to feel guilty for 'The U.S. War' in Iraq.
  • It's OK to denounce known terrorists.
  • It's OK to expect immigrants to learn the local language.
  • It's OK not to use political jargon.
  • It's OK not to understand what leftist/rightest/neocon and xenophobe mean.
  • It's OK not to agree with feminists.
  • It's OK not to approve of abortion.
  • It's OK for people to have different religious, social and political viewpoints.
  • It's OK to express your opinions honestly and without rancour,
  • It's not OK to constantly be screaming the word 'Racist' at everyone.
  • It's not OK to walk around constantly carrying the guilt of all mankind in your heart.

Maybe the Prime Minister might even go so far as to say, 'It's OK to disagree with all those social engineering Academic pedagogues who refuse to hear or even permit any opposing viewpoint!'

Now that would be a hoot wouldn't it? [Defeat the Defeatists! by Stephen Schwartz: "The degree to which the MSM, academia, and other members of the Western intelligentsia live in a fantasy world of narcissistic self-righteousness is extraordinary. But the phenomenon is not new"]

Maybe the Prime Minister will stand up and say, "Fellow Australians, It's OK to be proud to call yourself Australian. It's OK to be your 'Aussie Uncouth' self, as long as you are decent and law abiding!" Maybe on that day there will be surge in the number of Aussies who will proudly announce, 'I'm goin down te the local wif me wog mates!'

At any Rate, for the little that you have finally stood up and done Sir, may I just say: "Yes Minister! I concur Minister! Congratulations Mr. Prime Minister! Do have a Merry Christmas Prime Minister!'
