Marion V. Bradbury

MILLINOCKET -- Marion V. Bradbury, 98, passed away Monday, July 2, 2007, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born June 18, 1909, in Millinocket, the daughter of John and Susannah (Parsons) Bradbury.

Marion was a graduate of Stearns High School and Aroostook State Normal School. Marion was a substitute teacher in Millinocket for a short time and devoted much of her life caring for her family. She attended Millinocket Baptist Church and was a member of the Plus and Minus Club and AARP. Marion enjoyed cooking and working with her hands. She sold many of her handcrafted items at various craft fairs.

Marion is survived by a brother, Alfred Bradbury and his wife, Eileen, of Millinocket; a sister, Gladys (Bradbury) Ferguson of Island Falls; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion is also survived by her feline friend, Jamie. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rossen, John J. and Susannah Bradbury, Grace (Bradbury) Evers and Christopher and Sylvanus Bradbury.

Friends are invited to visit with the family between the hours of 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, at Bouchard - Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck officiating. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Marion may be sent to Katahdin Area Support Group, 10 Field St., Millinocket, ME 04462.
