Starting tomorrow, Wednesday January 27th, and running for 4 days, Magic City Morning Star News is proud to present to you a short 'mystery' novel written by M. Stevens-David.

Entitled: "Vengeance is Mine", the story commences with a gruesome discovery, and concludes with a .... sorry! I can't tell you the ending!  But here is the introduction:

  • It was July 2nd, 1963 and the small northern Maine town of Fort Kent was in a state of shock. Folks were gathered here and there in little knots along Main Street, discussing the shocking headlines in the Bangor Daily News. "Local Nunnery Demolished!" "Babies Found In Ruins!" "Investigation Underway."

Magic City Morning Star News is grateful to Martha for sharing this mystery novella with us, and for her more recent contributions. Martha has of late, introduced readers to a different side to her writing, and I am sure that many who read her column regularly, will be surprised at her versatility.

We do hope that you will check in tomorrow to read the first installment of Martha Stevens-David's 'Vengeance is Mine'.

As a writer myself, I know that we all like to receive P-O-S-I-T-I-V-E feedback - (not the bitchy stuff) and so I would invite you to send in your comments about Martha's work to either myself (for publication) or directly to Martha at

Best Wishes to one and all, and again thank you to Martha for sharing this work with us.
