7 Years on: Still need News Reporters

Seven years Ken Anderson the Editor of Magic City Morning Star News published an article asking for volunteer reporters for local news.

That request is reprinted today:

  • The Magic City Morning Star is in need of volunteer news reporters.

While we don't pretend to compete with our local newspapers, we at the Morning Star would like to do a better job of covering the news in the Katahdin area of Millinocket, East Millinocket, and Medway.

We can do this with your help. As the Morning Star is not a profitable enterprise at this time, we cannot pay reporters, but we can provide a voice to anyone who feels that their community, school, organization, or special interest is under-represented in the online media.

As a volunteer, you will be free to cover only those news events and stories that interest you, contributing as many or as few news articles as you want, within reason.

Our new format will allow you to submit news articles from your own computer, and without knowledge of HTML and with only basic technical skills.

If interested, please contact the editor by telephone or by email.

Currently Ken is not available to be the editor of Magic City News and so until he returns, if you are interested in providing some news, send it in an email to rpbendedek@hotmail.com

Thank You

R.P. BenDedek
