The Conservative Caucus (TCC), one of America's oldest and most influential national conservative organizations, is proud to announce the appointment of Wayne Allyn Root as its new Executive Vice Chairman. TCC was founded in October, 1974, by conservative icon and former Chairman Howard Phillips and current Chairman Peter Thomas.

Root, a former presidential candidate as well as the 2008 Libertarian vice presidential nominee, is a frequent guest on Fox News Channel, commentator on hundreds of conservative talk radio shows from coast to coast, popular Tea Party speaker, and prominent conservative columnist at FoxNews.com, TheBlaze.com, Newsmax.com, PersonalLiberty.com, Breitbart.com, DailyCaller.com. Root also writes frequently for the Washington Times. Charismatic and energetic, he is best known as "The Capitalist Evangelist."

Root will serve as the chief spokesman, voice, and face of TCC. Peter Thomas, Chairman of TCC said of the announcement, "Wayne Root is a conservative media powerhouse. Howard Phillips is 'living history,' and now, we intend to add to his legacy. Joining TCC as Executive Vice Chairman is a dream come true for a conservative patriot like me."

TCC's purpose is to maximize conservative strength throughout the nation by mobilizing and coordinating conservatives at the grassroots level. Already, the organization has begun building a massive "Cyber Precinct Organization" reaching down to the block level. Major political battles in which TCC played a part were the Panama Canal Treaties, SALT II, the Reagan tax cuts, US aid to anti-communist freedom fighters, repeal of the Catastrophic Coverage Act (aka HillaryCare), Bill Clinton's impeachment, and ObamaCare.

Root was President Barack Obama's college classmate at Columbia University, Class of '83, and he has often been called "the anti-Obama" by the media. He is considered the polar opposite in every way -- a successful entrepreneur, CEO, small businessman, home-school dad, and citizen politician. Root resides in Nevada, a state with no income tax, business tax, capital gains tax, or inheritance tax.

Root has made over 5000 media appearances in the past five years. His latest book, "The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide" will be released by Regnery, America's leading conservative publisher, on April 15th (Tax Day). He will be a featured speaker at the upcoming CPAC conference in Washington, DC.

Root will begin serving as TCC Executive Vice Chairman immediately. He'll remain based in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his wife and four children, but will spend considerable time in Washington, DC, and traveling the nation delivering the conservative message through the media and to audiences of all ages.
