The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption has launched a new national program, DTFA Kickball for a Home.

DTFA Kickball for a Home is a new way people can bring a community together and help find homes for the 107,000 children in U.S. foster care waiting for families.

An event could be a tournament with 20 teams or a backyard gathering of friends. It's a great activity for fraternities, sororities, neighborhoods, young professionals, service organizations, student groups, and business teams - anyone can play.

The Foundation invites everyone to join the team, take the field and have a ball while raising money and awareness to help children in foster care find permanent homes and loving families. The money raised by the Foundation funds foster-care-specific adoption agencies and provides services and support to adoptive families.

"We want people to join in and relive the fun of a favorite childhood sport, while raising awareness and funds to help children in foster care find forever families," said Rita Soronen, president and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. "It doesn't matter how old you are, how fit you are, or whether you've even played before. Kickball is for everyone. Just put together a team and get out there. Every kick, catch and throw goes to help a child find a home."

Because in this game, everybody wins.
