CAPT Larry Bailey, USN (Ret.), and COL Dick Brauer, Jr., USAF (Ret.), co-founders of Special Operations Speaks, released the following statement declaring their endorsement of State Senator Larry Grooms in the special election to fill Senator Tim Scott's vacant Congressional seat.

"With the broken promises coming out of the House of Representatives, with the rampant incompetence and big-government schemes coming out of the Senate and the White House, we need men of character, integrity, and rock-solid conservative principles to stand up for our values in Congress.

"For that reason, Special Operations Speaks is proud to endorse Larry Grooms in the special election for South Carolina's First Congressional District," said CAPT Bailey.

"Unlike his competitors, Larry Grooms has an ironclad record of supporting conservative values both in his voting record in the South Carolina legislature and in his day-to-day life," continued COL Brauer. "We know that he will not only continue to stand against the far-Left agenda of President Obama and his Democrat cohorts in Congress -- he will hold his own party accountable, too, when it betrays their principles.

"State Senator Larry Grooms will be an ally to our men and women in the military and a powerful advocate for American strength abroad. We urge all those in South Carolina's First District who want a Representative who will respect the public trust and tirelessly defend our Constitution to join us in supporting Larry Grooms for Congress."

Special Operations Speaks is composed of veterans, legatees, of the Special Operations and conventional military communities of all the Armed Forces as well as concerned citizen patriots, who have noted with dismay and deep alarm the recent stream of highly damaging leaks of information about various aspects of America's shadow war in the overall War on Terror. Our principles are the same as when we were in active service -- Duty, Honor, Country.

Our goals are:

To emphasize the pressing need for the nation and its representatives to understand the value of our Constitution and actively support a return to its application in all phases of government;

To illuminate the failed operational security environment of the Administration and to provide the public with accurate information about these repeated releases of highly classified information;

To restore accountability in government and with it the trust in our government that We The People deserve and demand.
