Movie Review: The Passion of the Christ

Directed by Mel Gibson, this movie was made to tell people about the last twelve hours of Jesus' life on earth. As most people would know, he was sent here to suffer and die for our sins, so that we can live with him in heaven. It portrays it very well.
Dennis Layden

In the opening scene, Jesus is in the garden praying to God to help him because he is being tempted by Satan. Satan is telling Jesus not to go through with it. Jesus is on the ground on his knees praying over Satan's temptation. After Satan is done trying to tempt him, the Roman guards come to get Jesus. All the way to the city, the guards beat him.

There are a lot of demons in the movie. After Judas had betrayed Jesus, a demon appeared and scared Judas away. Judas eventually hung himself. All throughout the movie, whenever something evil was going on you would see the devil walking among the people.

Of course the whole movie is in Aramaic, Greek, and Latin; but it does have subtitles.

Even though critics said that it was anti-Semitic, I don't know how it could be. If the critics say that then they would have to say that the Bible would have to be too.

Although it is bloody, it would have to be if they wanted it to be accurate. I thought that, from what every critic was saying, I wouldn't be able to handle it. But I did. Several times I almost cried because I never really knew what it meant to be tortured. I do believe that small children should not go to the movie because of all the torture scenes.

This was truly the best movie I have ever seen.

You don't have to take my opinions on it, feel free to disagree.
