I read this today. Homeland security centers at risk due to funding by Ted Bridis THE ASSOCIATED PRESS It said, in part, the government has ended grant programs that has provided more than $1.2 million a year since 2002 for two homeland security organizations that distribute information about potential threats to oil and gas and public transit companies.
We spent a cool $30 mill on Iraq borders (www.manews.org/), and advertise for Border Patrol officers there (http://magic-city-news.com/article_2584.shtml). All part of Bush’s great and costly plan of “seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture.”
Wonder who will help us when the next 9-11 happens here???? Any takers ya suppose?
Let me remind President Bush of this portion of his inauguration speech, spoken so eloquently on 1-20-05; “My most solemn duty is to protect this nation and its people against further attacks and emerging threats. Some have unwisely chosen to test America's resolve, and have found it firm.”
Well, firm is as firm does. He either protects this nation and its people (that is us ladies and gentlemen, we are The People) or he does not. My vote is no, he does not. On “firmly testing America’s resolve” yes, ‘It’ is firm as long as ‘It’ is a different country other than our bordering countries. Which poses to the greatest infiltration danger to America and to Americans living in America. On January 12, 2005, Attorney General John Ashcroft publicly said a high-ranking al-Qaeda leader, Adnan El-Shukrijumah, has offered top dollar to infiltrate the United States; and on January 14, 2005, two Texas congressmen wrote a letter to President Bush warning that 15,000 non-Mexican illegal aliens have crossed the border in recent months, many of them of Middle Eastern origin.
According to Bush, creating instant legal guest workers would “take a lot of pressure off our borders.”
Well golly gee President Bush, just legalize all drugs and take pressure off of drug addicts too! Legalize tax evasion and take the pressure off of the taxpaying requirements of the taxpayers in America. Legalize robberies and take pressure off the criminal hold-up artists. Legalize sex with children and take the pressure off of pedophiles. Can’t break the law if there is no longer a law to be broken, now can we?
Why the list here is endless ... and would cure a whole host of social ills in America. Of course, there may no longer be an America if we keep on truckin’ down this dangerous path here.
So go figure everyone. Because I certainly cannot.
