Another week on the campaign trail another fantastic experience! I continued my 'Maine' Streets for America tour this week, listening to the concerns and frustrations Mainers have with out of control spending by Congress and the feeling they are not being listened to in Washington, D.C.
On Monday, I walked the streets of Lisbon meeting business owners, employees and patrons. Tuesday I met with Mainers in Fairfield before touring Madison Paper, Backyard Farms of Madison, and Moose River Lumber before ending the day meeting with some great people in Jackman. Next, it was Wednesday and I, along with gubernatorial candidate Paul LePage, State Senate candidate Thomas Martin, and State House candidate Susan Morissette, attended the Taste of Greater Waterville, meeting with hundreds more Mainers upset their voices are not being heard in Washington.
This morning I met with the Waterville Sunrise Rotary before touring the town. I'll then be crossing the Kennebec River into Winslow, stopping in at Pleau's Market, the Winslow Fire Department, Big G's for lunch, North East Labs, Fortin's Furniture, and finally J & S gas station near Fort Halifax. Friday I will be touring Fairfield with State House candidate John Picchioti, then heading out the Rockland Lobster Festival. Saturday I will be attending the 28th Annual Wilton Blueberry Festival. Phew! The campaign trail is such a wonderful and busy whirlwind! But I want to work hard to get to every part of this district to speak to and listen to voters I hope to represent.
I've also begun radio ads which are running throughout the district. Keeping up this pace, getting around the district and running these radio spots talking about my vision for Maine, can be expensive. Would you be willing to help with a donation to our efforts so we can continue to spread our message of fiscal responsibility and accountability? Your donation of $100, $50 or even $25 dollars will help buy the radio spot (each approximately $25) that reach thousands of Mainers who are looking for proper representation in Washington. If you are able, go to my website and donate as much as you can to the future of Maine!
I hope you'll join us at some of our many stops along the 'Maine' Streets for America Tour. I would love to meet you, listen to your concerns, and have your show of support for real representation of Maine. You can RSVP any time to join us along the tour and at upcoming events by clicking here.
