The People & The Constitution vs. Mike Michaud & Nancy Pelosi

Dear Friends,

The stunts and maneuvering in Congress this week over how to pass the publicly unwanted Health Care "Reform" package has reached new heights-even for Congress. It's been tough to follow, but it appears Pelosi is now planning to use a piece of political trickery to pass the $2.5 TRILLION legislation without actually making Mike Michaud and the rest of her colleagues actually vote for it.

Basically, she will have her members vote to change a bill that never passed, and just 'deem' it passed in this changed vote. Mike Michaud, it appears, plans on voting for the legislation which will in fact pass (without a vote) the original Senate bill and the so-called "reconciliation bill". In addition to the massive spending, cutting of Medicare, taxes and mandates that will hike the cost of insurance for consumers-within the two bills just mentioned, is special financial gifts and spending breaks for certain states. If this sounds confusing, you're not alone...

So, Mike Michaud is going to pass legislation that the people don't want, that gives unequal treatment to states and doesn't ever actually get voted on? Here's a quick look at a couple points in the Constitution of the United States:

Article I, Section 7 (2) "Every bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a law, be presented to the President of the United States;"

Article IV, Section 2 (1) "The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States."

The people don't want it, The Constitution doesn't seem to allow the bill or its form of non-passage passage.

Mike Michaud who do you choose? The People and the Constitution, or Nancy Pelosi?

This Congress and President seems to be at war with the Constitution. From the President's criticism of the US Supreme Court during the State of the Union, ignoring the separation of powers to this attempt to circumvent our Nation's greatest document. Maybe they should go back to civics 101 and learn how a bill becomes a law.

Call Mike Michaud and tell him to choose those he Represents and that which he swore to uphold. Mike Michaud's office number is (202) 225-6306.
