Auburn, Maine - Homes across Maine's 2nd District may just be getting a visit from a supporter of Congressional Candidate Jason Levesque this weekend, as 100 volunteers are readied to hit the streets tomorrow for a massive door-knocking and literature drive throughout the district. The goal is to reach 25 thousand homes over the weekend and provide people with information to help them decide who will best represent them in Congress. In addition, Levesque's team has been working with State Rep. and Senate candidates to make sure information for their races are also include in the Info Blitz.
"Our campaign to bring a voice to Washington has been gaining momentum and we are excited by what we are seeing and hearing in poll results, in fundraising, in the field and in the media. Voters across the district are angry at the bad policies of this Congress and angry that Mike Michaud has voted 96% of the time with Nancy Pelosi. We believe, and polls have indicated, that when people understand what Mike Michaud has voted on compared to how I will vote, they believe I will better represent them in congress," Jason Levesque said. "Therefore, we decided to get out there in a big blitz and make sure people know that I believe in lower taxes, less regulation, drastically reduced spending and that the trillion dollar Obamacare Law that is already increasing cost of health insurance must be repealed. I know that the private sector creates jobs, not the government and that we just need to get government out of the way of good business.
"Congressman Michaud doesn't agree with me. He voted for Obamacare, for the Cap and Trade Energy Tax, to increase the debt ceiling and for the failed stimulus. There is a clear difference and I hope our Info Blitz helps people get the information they are looking for," said Levesque.
The Info Blitz Team will head to more than 25 towns in Androscoggin, Aroostook, Hancock, Oxford, and Penobscot counties.
