Yesterday I had the opportunity to share my views on the proposed mosque near Ground Zero on WGAN's Ken and Mike Show. Can you believe the disdain for 9/11 victims, their friends and their relatives coming out of New York City and the White House?! You can listen to my thoughts on the matter here.
I've been continuing my hard work to earn Mainers' support, crisscrossing the district and meeting thousands of concerned citizens. In recent days I have traveled to Ellsworth, Winter Harbor, Lewiston-Auburn, Belfast, Dover-Foxcroft, Newport, Guilford, Abbott and Greenville. Today I am in Bangor meeting with business leaders before continuing my 'Maine' streets walk downtown.
It's a lot of work bringing my message of accountability and real representation to the largest congressional district east of the Mississippi, but I'll tell you, your support is a tremendous wind in my sail. Things are beginning to move quickly. Our army of volunteers is about to get activated. Please join my campaign. If you would like to host an event, call fellow Mainers, knock on doors, write letters to the editor, put up yard signs, or help get letters in the mail, now is a great time to jump on board. You can join my campaign by clicking here and registering.
I also want to add a special note about a fellow congressional candidate to the south of us in Massachusetts. Jon Golnik is running for Congress in Mass-5 for Niki Tsongas's seat. Last night his campaign headquarters in Westford, Massachusetts burned down. I spoke with Jon today and he is in great spirits, but with so little time left, he needs a little extra help. I have donated $250.00 to help him reboot his campaign efforts and replace lost materials. Check out his website and if you are able to help out, remember, we need to stand together in our fight to bring Congress back to the people.
Thanks again for all of your support. I hope to see you soon!
