State Grange Announces "Tractor Raffle" Winners

AUGUSTA -- At the recently held 133rd Annual Session of the Maine State Grange, the winners we're drawn for the State Grange "Tractor Raffle". Tickets we're sold at many of the 168 Granges across the state. Money raised from this raffle is used to fund the Community Service Grant Program, which allows local Granges to receive a 50% reimbursement from the State Grange on all qualifying community service projects up to $250.00 per Grange. The winners of the raffle were:

  • Cub Cadet Lawn Tractor was won by Edith Cunnigham of Oakland.
  • $200.00 Wal-Mart Gift Card was won by Raymond Hedges from Livermore Falls.
  • The Husqvarna Grass Trimmer was won by Peter Davis from Readfield.

The Grange is America's Family Fraternity with 168 Grange�s in Maine with over 6,500 member's statewide. The Grange, founded in 1867, is the nation�s oldest general agricultural and rural advocacy organization. It is comprised of families and individuals who share a common interest in a wide variety of economic, educational, and legislative issues that are represented at all levels of government.
