The LOVER

From a far off land you came
To dwell with me a while
You took me in and made me yours
With your ready wit and smile

Now life is taking you away
To another place and time
And I will often call you up
From the inner reaches of my mind

I often stop and think of you
And your winning ways
I wish you health, Godspeed and love
To guide you all your days...
