MILLINOCKET, MAINE -- The Millinocket Historical Society officially kicked off its yard sale season on June 5th and now patiently looks to a dryer July & August to continue its summer fundraising efforts.
Fundraising has gained a lot of ground with sales of the Dot Laverty book, the book Millinocket by David Duplisea and calendar sales.
Future fundraising includes an accumulated history of recipes soon to be featured in the Millinocket Family Recipes cookbook, a fall bake sale, and a spaghetti supper.
We would like to extend an invitation to those that have not already shared their recipes with us by mailing them directly to the Millinocket Historical Society, PO Box 11, Millinocket, Maine 04462 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those that may have already sent in a recipe need to be sure it went to the PO Box or to the email address for receipt of participation in the publication. Remember to add in the name of the family member that handed down this recipe and a short description of the memory of the recipe.
