Tax Hypocrisy

As a Veteran and retired Federal Civil Service worker who faithfully and loyally served and worked for our country, I gave 40 years of my life to our nation. I served in the Naval Reserves, active duty in the U.S. Navy which, during that time, I served aboard three different Navy ships, two shore-duty stations, overseas in the Philippines. I did seven overseas deployments, two Mediterranean cruises, two Caribbean cruises, and three Westpac cruises. I have been separated from my family, did days of duty, and been in hostile war zones.

After I had served in the Navy, I went to work for the U.S. Marine Corps in Federal Civil Service, then I worked for the U.S. Navy in Federal Civil Service, and then I worked for the U.S. Air Force in Civil Service.

I bought back my military time so that I could retire. After a grand total of forty years of faithful, loyal and dedicated service, I retired, and found that my retirement is taxed.

We have former members of the House and Senate of congress who have never served in the military, and they are all enjoying 100% tax-free retirement. They get free medical and free dental care at all military medical and dental facilities, and they are first priority when being seen at these facilities. They get to have Commissary and Base Exchange shopping rights, and are first priority at a military air base in a space-available flight.

These former members of the House and Senate who have never served in our military don't know what it's like to be away from their families at all, yet they are getting tax-free cost of living adjustments with their tax-free retirement, while people who have served are being taxed on their retirement.

This is a total insult, and a slap in the face for all those who have given faithful, loyal and dedicated years of governmental service to our nation, while these former members of the House and Senate, who have never served in the military, are the biggest bunch of traitors, back-stabbers, and hypocrites there are.
