Hello, Mr. Muszar.

In your letter to the editor of March 28th, "A Question For Doug Wrenn On An Older Article," you had a question regarding an article I wrote approximately a year and a half ago on October 2nd, 2006, entitled, "It's Time To Revise The Strategy To Secure A Sovereign United States."

Your question was regarding the following (full) statement I made in paragraph four: "Meanwhile, several members of Congress, such as Representatives Katherine Harris (R-FL) and Dan Burton (R-IN), are proposing legislation and traveling abroad to help along the President's SPP agenda."

However, for whatever reason, you chose to delete the previous section I wrote regarding Representative Harris and other members of Congress to read as follows: "...and Dan Burton (R-IN), are proposing legislation and traveling abroad to help along the President's SPP agenda."

You then asked me, after segregating my complete statement to only apply to Representative Burton, to furnish you with legislation he proposed, dates, and itinerary relative to this subject.

To clarify, in the full context of my statement (as I wrote it), Representative Burton did the traveling and Representative Harris did the legislating.

In the same paragraph, I cited an entire issue of New American magazine, dated October 2nd, 2006, which was fully devoted to the issue of the "SPP," or "Security, & Prosperity Partnership," more colloquially known as the "North American Union," or "NAU."

More specifically, I call your attention to an article in that same issue, written by Warren Mass, and entitled, "GOP Deeds Under A Microscope."

In that article, you will see a photo of Congressman Burton leaving the presidential house in Costa Rica in January of 2006, after advocating for the "Free Trade Areas of the Americas," AKA: "FTAA." The caption below the photo also refers to Congressman Burton as a "key ball carrier for the Bush administration's many sovereignty-destroying agreements."

For her part, (now former) Congresswoman Harris proposed HR 2672, called "The North American Cooperative Security Act" in the 109th Congress. The bill was basically a military defense pact between the US, Canada and Mexico. The bill's co-sponsors were Congressmen Steven Pearce (R-NM) and Christopher Shays (R-CT). Chris Shays, you may recall, was co-sponsor of "Shays/Meehan," the House version of the Senate's "(John) McCain/Feingold," bill, regarding campaign finance reform, another usurpation of liberty, and even acknowledged as "unconstitutional;" by President Bush, ironically just shortly before he signed it into law. H.R. 2672's Senate twin was S. 853, proposed by Senator Richard Lugar, Republican, also of your state of Indiana, and not so surprisingly also a proponent of the "Law Of the Seas Treaty," more rightfully known as "LOST," which basically gives away much US sovereignty for shipping and mining off our own shores. Lugar's co-sponsors for S. 853 were Republican Senators Norm Coleman of Minnesota, John Cornyn and Kay Baily-Hutchison, both of Texas, Charles "Chuck" Hagel of Nebraska, Ted Stevens of Alaska, and lo and behold, presidential wannabe and reputed Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) member, Senator John McCain of Arizona. Fortunately, both HR 2672 and S 853 died before becoming law.

Your specific interest, however, understandably seems to be in Congressman Burton of your home state of Indiana.

Congressman Burton has made at least a couple statements while chairing the Western Hemisphere subcommittee of The House International Relations Committee, revealing what appears to be his globalist tendencies and support, which I frankly find disturbing.

One such statement of Congressman Burton can be found in Mr. Mass's article: "We have already begun the process of working with our friends by launching the Partnership For Prosperity (P4P) and the Security & Prosperity Partnership of North America, but more needs to be done to stem the tide of illegal aliens into the US in the short term as well as to pave the way towards a long-term, coordinated and legal immigration plan for our Hemisphere."

The Mass article also cites Burton's mention of the "Border Enforcement Security Task Force ("BEST"), a Homeland Security brainstorm, which, as Mass explains, involves more of a shared border, a North American community and international law enforcement.

A similar statement from Congressman Burton can also be found in a May, 25, 2006 article, entitled, "Rep. Burton Comments On US-Canada Relations," published by "US Fed News, Including US State News," still currently viewable on a web site called, "All Business" at: www.allbusiness.com/government/3686347-1.html. Included on page two of his three-page statement, Congressman Burton is quoted as saying: "President Bush met with Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada and President Vicente Fox of Mexico two months ago to move ahead the agenda for the Security & Prosperity Partnership (SPP) for North America. The SPP framework is ambitious and if its goals are realized, our countries will benefit from greater competitiveness and security. Our governments are constantly looking for ways to streamline border infrastructure to benefit our shared economic and security interests. Strong cooperation with Canada in the coming years will be essential."

I thank you for interest, Mr. Muszar, and I wish you well.
