Dear Editor,
Speaking of the eloquence of Brian Mulroney's remarks delivered at the Ronald Reagan Centennial Conference in Washington,DC, letter writer Norbert Kaysser goes on to speak about the intelligence of Brian Mulroney, by referring to his role in helping to end apartheid in South Africa by promoting the boycott of South Africa by the international community.
Of course Norbert Kaysser, totally overlooks Brian Mulroney's avoidance of dealing with Canadien apartheid, which has been in practice since August 1977, in the province of Quebec, under the title of Bill 101.
Brian Mulroney made the effort to deal with APARTHEID in South Africa, but made no effort to deal with a similar problem in his own province of Quebec. Mulroney felt that it would be politically safe to attack South African apartheid, but not Quebec's apartheid and thus proved that he was a charlatan, and not a man of any substance at all.
Thus to call Brian Mulroney brilliant, is to be in praise of his manipulatory policies and the manner in which he avoided in dealing with the issue of Canadien APARTHEID, which was closer to home.
Sincerely,
Kenneth T. Tellis
