The story about supposedly exposing the darker side of Kebec's secret links with Nazism from the 1930s to our present time, and was only an attempt to launder Kebecois society and pretend that the only one responsible for it was Adrian Arcand Kebec Fascist Party Leader, who was interned for the duration of the war at Camp Borden. But, they used Adrien Arcand as their scapegoat as this was only a way that they could whitewash all those Kebecois who openly supported the Italian Fascist leader Benito Mussolini and German Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, by their protest movements against the World War II and the anti-conscription riots that followed. Remember well that a major part of Kebecois society and its church was directly involved in their attempts to stall the Canadian war effort, and among these was the late Abbe Lionel-Adolphe Groulx of Vaudreuil, Kebec. The names of some of course do come to mind, the likes of Jean Drapeau, Pierre Trudeau and Camillien Houde the Mayor of Montreal. But of course there were those like Felix Leclerc who were hiding in the woods or in the seminaries that dotted Kebec landscape in those days avoiding conscription.
In reality nothing really changed in Kebec, because this neo-Nazi-Fascist movement only went underground till the end of the war and began taking code names to cover their real purpose, of creating a NAZI STATE within North America. But, they now called themselves nationalists, rather than Nazis to attract new members to their party. Their goals of spreading NAZISM never changed one whit, as they now created the false impression that they were Nationalist, rather than Nazis. So, many misguided youth were drawn to this seemingly Nationalist cause of a Kebec Nation, free from Canada and their oppressors its English-speaking population. But that was a complete fabrication, and was no where near the truth.
Kebec's Elitist society and its Roman Catholic Church were the real culprits, as it was they who oppressed the ordinary Kebecois, because they wanted cheap labour to run all their industries cheaply, and the uneducated masses of Kebec that could not do their own thinking, could be very easily exploited. This was their way to be able to always lay the blame on the English-speaking people of Canada if anything ever went wrong. But like the Nazis the school system run by Kebecois Roman Catholic priests gave the pupils their daily dose of brainwashing against English-speaking Canadians being their enslavers, till they began to really believe all this propaganda, just as children in Nazi Germany did. The results were what they falsely called the QUIET REVOLUTION, and it was not directed against the Roman Catholic Church at all, but against the English-speaking people of Canada, who never did exploit them nor bore them any ill will.
We can only conclude than the entire story about Adrien Arcand was a con job at best, an attempt by those who felt that they could sweep Kebec's evil Nazi past under the carpet of time.
