I read in the news yesterday that someone in Ontario was borrowing the original Magna Carta and exhibiting it in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This document is verily the Great Charter which gave the people of England the right to limit the powers of the king. It is thus the very basis by which we in the English-speaking world have attained our inalienable rights, one which the powers that be cannot amend or rescind.
But, we must keep in mind that some people in Canada, the likes of one Pierre-Elliott used a devious method by which to abrogate the rights that we had been accorded by the MAGNA CARTA of 1215, and assumed the powers of a pseudo king. Pierre-Elliott Trudeau by introducing his so-called Charter of Rights and Freedoms has really rescinded all those rights that we had acquired by the magna Carta and replaced it with the system used in France by King Louis XIV (The Sun King) , who on 13 avril, 1655, succinctly stated "L'etat c'est moi!" (I am the state). As an absolute monarch Louis XIV governed France as a dictator, with no elected assembly with which to govern France.
Trudeau's actions were not a mere accident but intentional. Pierre-Elliott Trudeau assumed by his creation of The Charter of Rights and Freedoms the role of a king, rather than that of a Prime Minister. He and his appointed flunkies (judges) could now be the arbiters of all our acquired rights from the Magna Carta, and nullify all those rights that they deemed did not permit him to control Canada as a despot.
Thus, by using his prime ministerial powers, Trudeau was in fact unbeknownst to Canadians making Canada into a dictatorship one step at a time, where our freedoms would become a thing of the past and his word would be the law of the land.
