I have a sister who was a heroin addict and as I write this letter, she is dying of Hepatitis C as a result of her addiction. Frankly, suspended ICE Agent Cory Voorhis' exposure of illegal alien criminals such as heroin dealer Walter Ramos, aka Carlos Estrada Medina, does my heart good.

If SB 1348 (Kyl/Kennedy/McCain) Amnesty Bill passes, it will be the end of America as we know it. The "doomsday" sound isn't so farfetched when you think of 20 million people given permission to remain in the US despite their being a total "black box;" we know nothing about them--who they are, where they're from, what they did at home and why they're here. Contrary to Mr. Bush's insulting comments to Americans, they're here to "do the jobs Americans don't want," and "Hell, if they come across Big Bend we want 'em."

Tom Tancredo has appeared on thousands of radio talk show programs while serving in Congress and has experienced every variety of host interviewers, good, bad and indifferent, but Hugh Hewitt is in a category all to himself. That he is raising more doubts about his own credentials as a conservative pundit than Congressman Tancredo's credentials as a conservative leader has evidently not yet dawned on him.

Congressman Tancredo's speech at Friday's CPAC convention speaks volumes about his character and his campaign. He said "conservatism doesn't need an adjective, it needs a leader." Tancredo was clear in stating that most Republican candidates running for President try to avoid discussion on illegal immigration. He also told the packed-full audience that he would like to see a candidate that he could vote for proudly and not as the "lesser of two evils".

The Washington elite have their own exclusive agenda, and it doesn't include average Americans. Just ask "pro-amnesty" Mayor Bloomberg of New York. Their agenda includes the now 20 million illegal aliens camping out in our country (although the Bush Administration continues their lie of 8-12 million). If existing US immigration laws forbidding hiring illegal aliens by employers were enforced, most illegal aliens would leave today. Eliminating illegal aliens from all public assistance (including the so-called "charities" like Catholic Charities, Lutheran Social Services, etc.) would be a reminder. The relatively few remaining illegal crossers (drug smugglers and terrorists) would be relatively easy to control.

Let us not forget Congressman Chris "give 'em all amnesty and keep 'em coming" Cannon of Utah, who in May 2005 said of America's patriot Congressman Tom Tancredo: "I think he ought to consider his views and decide whether they're consistent with the Republican Party." Where did Cannon deliver this rendition? It was a joint panel with Congressman Luis Gutierrez moderated by no less a Jorge Boosh-groupie than columnist Tamar Jacoby. The strategy seemed to call for Cannon and Gutierrez to demonstrate rude, crude behavior at the Latino Coalition, where such behavior is apparently welcome. Cannon felt comfortable as his buddy, President Bush, was soon to arrive.
