Hope for our Children
I just tucked away a photo of a teen who took his life a year and a half ago. He, unmarried, had a baby to a lovely girl. There were quarrels. Things didn't get settled kindly. My teen friend couldn't take life's pressure any longer, so he jumped in front of an oncoming auto, snuffing out his handsome figure. He left a note in his pocket.

In fact, Christ lifted womanhood in His public ministry. When He encountered women abused, He was their advocate every time. That was in a time and culture when women were treated as low-class.

So as I type this, I thank God for His oversight of sincere seekers for truth. The Lord does see the heart. God does care. Christ does know how to reach way down into the suffering soul for eventual healing. And He surely knows how to unfold His Word's promises for a solid grounding.
