The Christian rests his government upon the shoulder of Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity.
ISAIAH 9:6: "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
". . .and the government shall be upon his shoulder."
Christians are citizens of two worlds: this Earth and the Eternal.
The Eternal takes precedence over the Earth.
Therefore, Christians live ultimately aligned with the Christ government. His shoulder carries the believer, no matter the globe's rule.
That is what grants peace and wisdom to the Christian in any era. Today there is much pessimism, depression and confusion.
Those without Christ's government have nowhere to turn but their own empty wallets, the uncertainty of the future, and a politic that is as dumbfounded as ever.
B. Hussein Obama's speech to Congress highlighted mortals reconstructing America. As I listened to that address, I was bereft. I was saddened.
The President of the nation with the Christian heritage did not call upon God for rescue. B. Hussein, Marxist Muslim, did not acknowledge the Christian backdrop to his country.
In that is his major failure. He will fail, all the more because he works aggressively against the Christ of Scripture.
Until B. Hussein sheds his Allah-allegiance and Marxist underpinnings, he will come to naught. Sadly, the country will go with him.
However, all through the unsteady journey ahead, the Christian lives shouldered by another government. It is Christ.
The Old Testament prophet predicted the Second Coming millennial reign of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Christ, Creator of Earth, will rule upon His deeded property. It is His.
However, prior to that rule, Christ rules within the spirit of every disciple. Believers who have surrendered their destinies to Christ's shoulder know the daily might of His keeping power.
Their faith remains. Their hearts are calm. Their vision is clear. They have the countless promises in Scripture to sustain them. They have the indwelling Spirit of this Christ to speak to them.
That is why Christians until the Second Coming will shine as THE lights of the world in extremely dark times. These Christians will be despised by the unbelievers; yet all the more they will shine.
They will be sidelined by the secularists. They will be hated by the blasphemers. They will be scolded by the power elite.
Nevertheless, they will keep their eyes upon their Governor Christ. They know experientially that the government they breathe under will outlast every mortal reign.
B. Hussein will pass. Christ will remain. B. Hussein's Congress will disappear. Christ will remain. B. Hussein's speeches will wrinkle and blow away with fierce winds. Christ will remain.
The Christian's government base is the risen Christ who has already promised each believer change and hope.
The change has taken place in the born again experience - change from sin to holiness.
The hope has taken hold - hope in the One who will carry His grace children from this Earth into the New Heaven and New Earth.
Muslim Prays in School.
Christians should take advantage of Freedom
"All students are constitutionally guaranteed the right to pray during the school day as long as it doesn't interfere with learning.
"Muslims pray five times a day to reaffirm their faith and submit to follow divine commandments. The prayer is said during prescribed times; in the fall, when clocks roll back at the end of daylight savings time, the afternoon prayer must be said during the school day, Awwad explained.
"Federal guidelines say schools can't prevent students from praying during school, but they can't sponsor religious activities or lead students in prayer.
"For instance, those guidelines specifically mention a student's right to quietly read the Bible during lunch. But they are not clear on what action to take when the religious expression is more demonstrative, as it is in Adam's case."
The focus was on elementary school student Adam, 10. He is now granted permission to pray in school time on school property.
That same permission is granted Christians. Therefore, Christian students should take advantage of this freedom of religious expression and not let it slip by.
