Anti-Terror War vs Schizoid Islamism

Police stormed the apartment of al Qaeda gunman Mohammad Merah after midnight Wednesday, March 21 ending 22 hours of siege. He is accused of murdering seven French civilians, three of them children. Heavily armed, he boasted that he had acted for al Qaeda to "bring France to its knees" and only regretted that he had not killed more people.

The 24-year-old Muslim spree killer, the confessed perpetrator of three deadly attacks, is holed up in a five story apartment building in Toulouse currently surrounded by some 300 French police.

A French citizen of Algerian origin, officials say Merah had been to Pakistan and Afghanistan, where he claimed to have received training from al Qaeda. Merah had been under surveillance by French intelligence for a couple of years.

It is alleged that Mohammad Merah was jailed for planting bombs in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, some years ago and escaped in a Taliban jailbreak in 2008.

French authorities told reporters that Merah was a member of an extremist Islamic group, but insisted he acted as a "lone extremist" and that the group was not connected to the attacks.

Mohammad Merahin said he was motivated for his murderous rampage by French participation in the Afghan war, the suffering of Gaza Palestinians and the banning of the Muslim veil for women by the Sarkozy government. He videotaped the murders he committed in the Jewish school and of French soldiers in Montauban to disseminate the film and "maximize" the propaganda impact of his deeds.

Lawyer Christian Etelin, who represented Merah in connection with previous minor offences, described Merah as having a "complex" personality. Merah was sentenced to a month in prison for driving offence and was to appear before the judge again in early April to determine where he would serve that sentence. He was also sentenced 15 times by a Toulouse juvenile court when he was a minor.

PS: The French Defence ministry said Merah had twice tried to join the country's armed forces.

Hezbollah Agents in US

Rep. Peter King (R-N.Y.) warned that there are hundreds - maybe even thousands - of Hezbollah agents inside the United States capable of launching a terror attacks. "We do know that a number of them have been trained as terrorists, so the question is, how quickly they can be made operational, and would they carry out an attack?" he said. "We estimate it to be at least in the hundreds, maybe the thousands of Hezbollah agents here in this country..."

An Elderly Jew Beaten to Death in Morocco

A 74-year-old elderly Jewish man was murdered by an unknown attacker in the city of Fez. According to reports in Moroccan media, the elderly victim was seen being hit repeatedly by a man wielding a hammer.

Time to Quit the UN Human Rights Council

Israel has severed contact with the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) after it launched an international investigation into Jewish settlements. The decision means that the fact-finding team the council planned to send to the West Bank will not be allowed to enter the territory or Israel, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor. "We are not working with them anymore." The resolution to "investigate the implications" of the settlements on "the Palestinian people throughout the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem" was passed by a vote of 36 to 1, with 10 abstentions.

Security Blunder and Political Stupidity in Action

After a 32 hours siege by dozens of 'special' police units, they were unable to arrest one terrorist alive. But, the French Prime Minister said the police who shot Mohammad Merah dead had done a remarkable job. Autopsy of the Toulouse killer showed that he was shot by 22 bullets. French authorities were quick to deny, without any investigation, that the killer was linked or trained by any terrorist group, even while many questions remain unanswered: Who funded his activities and lifestyle? Who supplied him with automatic weapons? How was he able to visit so many countries without leaving any record? Did he travel using false passports and who supplied them?

Arab Votes Elected Mofaz

Moshe Feiglin, who leads the Jewish Leadership faction in Likud, noted that MK Shaul Mofaz leaned heavily on votes by Arabs recruited into Kadima (anti-Zionist party) for his victory over Tzipi Livni in the party's primaries. The Arabs were recruited into the party by Mofaz's vote-getters and are not expected to vote for Kadima in the general elections.

Honour Killings are Fashionable in Gaza

According to a survey by the PA Central Bureau of Statistics, 58.1 percent of women in Gaza have suffered violence from their husbands. Accurate statistics on honour crimes in PA and Hamas run enclaves are not available. The Gaza-based Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights said reduced sentences - a maximum of 24 months in jail for severe crimes like murder - had made "honour" crimes "prevalent in the Palestinian society and has resulted in opening the door for undermining the principle of the rule of law."

Israel Helps Enemy while Arab Nations Drop Support

The International Monetary Fund reported that the PA economy is in a "difficult phase" due to a drop in aid. Arab nations have failed to meet pledges of billions of dollars in assistance. Israel increased the number of permits for Arab employment in Israel and pushed forward an agreement to build four electricity substations in Judea and Samaria. Is Obama Playing Procrastination Game?

US President Barack Obama awarded 11 nations exemptions from new US financial sanctions against Iran. The down scaling of sanctions caught Israel by surprise and angered Turkey, most of all as the outcome of unknown secret US-Iranian talks.

US Continues to Pay Extortion to Egypt

Despite remaining human rights concerns and threat to revise the Camp David Accords US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will open the way to resuming $1.3 billion in annual military aid to Egypt. The annual military aid is cemented in Egypt's 1979 peace with Israel but had come under review recently, due to Cairo's crackdown on pro-democracy groups.

J Street is Pro-Palestinian Organisation of Suicidal Jews

Congressman Allen West called the politically Left-leaning JStreet a "Pro-Palestinian Jewish Organisation." When I ask them how does one negotiate with leaders who do not even recognise your existence, they respond with, you have to believe in them. Well, looks like I will have to save these people from themselves. I take a man at his word when he says he wants to kill me, I ain't suicidal." While the dovish organisation prides itself on being "pro-peace" and "pro-Israel,"many prominent Jewish leaders have distanced themselves from the organisation for, what are often seen as, its anti-Israel policies.

Fake Dollars Made in Iran?

Two Iranian traders were arrested in Kuala Lumpur for using counterfeit $100 bills for their purchases. Their suitcases with the equivalent of $356,000 in fake dollars were seized. They claimed they had been issued with the cash by the Iranian national bank in Tehran.

"Israel 'faces isolation' as new border fence is erected" - The 150-mile boundary between the Sinai and Negev deserts is being built due to increase of Islamists attacks perpetrated by Hamas and Bedouins from Sinai. Israel is in need of complete isolation from all its 'friendly' Arab/Muslim neighbours!

Rise Against "Crusader Swine" by Gavriel Queenann

Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri urged Afghans to rise up against "Crusader swine". Zawahiri cited the burning of the Quran by US soldiers last month, and an online video in which U.S. Marines were shown urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters in January.

"Allah disclosed the Americans through the tape that appeared on the Internet showing the Crusader pigs of the Marines as they urinated on the body of an Afghan mujaheed, may the vast mercy of Allah be upon him," Zawahiri said.

"This is their view towards other people in general and the Muslims in particular, and this is their way of treating us."

Appealing to Afghans' pride, Zawahiri asked how they will respond when their children ask what they did to those who insulted the Quran, mocked the Prophet Mohammed, killed their fellow countrymen and urinated on their bodies.

The al-Qaeda chief said the proper response would be to join the terror insurgency led by the Taliban and al-Qaeda against foreign troops.

"The jihadist movement is with the grace of Allah, growing and spreading within its Muslim nation despite facing the fiercest crusade campaign in history by the West," Zawahiri claimed.
